ReClip respects intellectual property rights. This page explains how to report infringing content and what happens when we receive a valid notice.
1. Our commitment
ReClip processes video content on behalf of its users. We require all users to confirm they own or hold the necessary rights to any content they upload. We take copyright infringement seriously and will act promptly on valid takedown notices.
2. Submitting a takedown notice (DMCA §512)
If you believe content processed or stored on ReClip infringes your copyright, you may send a written notice to our designated agent. Your notice must include all of the following:
- Your physical or electronic signature (or that of the authorised person acting on behalf of the rights owner).
- Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed, or a representative list if multiple works are covered.
- Identification of the infringing material on ReClip, with enough detail for us to locate it (e.g. a URL or project link).
- Your contact information: full name, postal address, telephone number, and email address.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use of the material is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or applicable law.
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on the owner's behalf.

Please use the subject line: DMCA Takedown Notice. We respond to valid notices within 5 business days.
4. Counter-notification
If you believe your content was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notification to the same address. A counter-notification must include: your physical or electronic signature; identification of the removed content and its location before removal; a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed due to mistake or misidentification; your name, address, telephone number, and a statement consenting to jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for your address (or, for non-US residents, any judicial district in which ReClip may be found).
Upon receipt of a valid counter-notification, we may restore the content within 10–14 business days unless the original complainant files a court action.
5. Repeat infringer policy
ReClip maintains a repeat infringer policy in accordance with 17 U.S.C. §512(i). Users who are the subject of multiple valid copyright complaints, or who repeatedly upload content they do not have the rights to, will have their accounts suspended or terminated. We reserve the right to terminate accounts at our discretion where there is clear evidence of repeat infringement, without prior notice where the severity warrants it.
6. Misrepresentation warning
Under 17 U.S.C. §512(f), any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing (or that it was removed by mistake) may be liable for damages, including costs and legal fees.
