Terms of Service

Last updated: 26 April 2026

By creating an account or using ReClip, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.

1. The service

ReClip (reclip.online) is an AI-assisted video repurposing tool. It allows you to upload long-form video content, generate clip candidates with AI scoring, produce platform-formatted exports, and create written content from video transcripts. The service is provided on an early-access basis and features are subject to change.

2. Your account

  • You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
  • You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • One account per person or legal entity. Sharing accounts between multiple people is not permitted.
  • You must provide accurate information during sign-up and keep it up to date.

3. Your content

You own your content. ReClip does not claim any intellectual property rights over videos, clips, transcripts, or blog posts you create using the service.

By uploading content you grant ReClip a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, process, transcode, and display that content solely for the purpose of providing the service to you. This licence ends when you delete the content or close your account. We do not sell, share, or train AI models on your personal content without your explicit consent.

You confirm that you hold all rights necessary to submit content to ReClip and to repurpose it across third-party platforms. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Copyright ownership or a licence covering the full video.
  • Music synchronisation and master rights for any audio contained in the video.
  • Redistribution rights permitting you to publish the content on platforms such as YouTube, TikTok, LinkedIn, and others.
  • Consent from any identifiable individuals appearing in the content.

You are solely responsible for ensuring your content complies with the terms of service of any third-party platform you publish to using ReClip outputs.

4. Acceptable use

You may not use ReClip to:

  • Upload content that is illegal, harmful, abusive, defamatory, or infringes third-party rights.
  • Upload or import content you do not own or have explicit rights to repurpose and redistribute.
  • Use ReClip to redistribute copyrighted material — including music, film, or broadcast content — without holding the necessary licences.
  • Attempt to circumvent platform content-protection systems (such as YouTube Content ID or TikTok's rights management tools) using ReClip outputs.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or systematically extract data from the service.
  • Circumvent rate limits, usage quotas, or access controls.
  • Generate spam, deliberate misinformation, or synthetic media intended to deceive.
  • Resell or sublicence access to the service without our written permission.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, with or without notice depending on severity.

5. Free plan and paid plans

ReClip offers a free tier with usage limits on processing time, number of projects, and output formats. Paid plans unlock higher limits and additional features. Plan details are shown at sign-up and in your account settings.

Payments are processed by Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You may cancel at any time from your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Refunds are handled at our discretion and in line with applicable consumer protection law.

6. Service availability and no warranties

ReClip is provided on an early-access basis. We aim for high availability but make no guarantee of specific uptime. We may perform maintenance or temporarily limit access without prior notice. Processing jobs depend on third-party AI providers and may be subject to delays outside our control. We use third-party AI providers (including OpenAI and Anthropic) to process your content for transcription, summarisation, clip generation, and other AI-powered features. By using ReClip you consent to your content being sent to these providers solely for the purpose of delivering the service.

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We make no representation that:

  • Exported content will be accepted, approved, or remain live on any third-party platform.
  • Content published via ReClip will achieve any particular reach, monetisation outcome, or algorithmic performance.
  • AI-generated clips, captions, or scores will be accurate, complete, or free from errors.
  • The service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for any particular purpose.

7. Third-party platforms

ReClip is a processing and publishing tool. We are not responsible for decisions made by third-party platforms (including YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, and others) regarding content you publish using ReClip outputs. This includes, without limitation:

  • Content ID claims, copyright strikes, or takedown notices issued by any platform.
  • Monetisation restrictions, demonetisation, or removal of revenue due to music or rights conflicts.
  • Algorithmic suppression, reduced reach, or changes to platform policies affecting your content.
  • Account suspensions or bans imposed by third-party platforms.

It is your responsibility to ensure that any content you export and publish complies with the terms, community guidelines, and copyright policies of each platform you use. ReClip does not check, clear, or guarantee the rights status of music or other third-party elements in your uploaded content.

Platform API access and connected accounts

ReClip integrates with third-party platform APIs (including YouTube, Twitch, TikTok, and others) to enable importing and publishing features. By connecting a third-party account you acknowledge and agree that:

  • You are responsible for ensuring your use of ReClip's platform integrations complies with each platform's own terms of service, API policies, and developer agreements — including the YouTube API Services Terms of Service, Twitch Developer Agreement, and equivalent policies for other platforms.
  • Connecting your account authorises ReClip to act on your behalf as an intermediary. You remain solely responsible for all activity carried out on those connected accounts.
  • ReClip's ability to import or publish via platform APIs depends on those APIs remaining available and within usage limits. If a platform changes, restricts, or revokes API access, ReClip cannot guarantee continued availability of affected features.
  • When you import content via a YouTube link, Twitch VOD, or other external URL, you confirm you hold the rights to that specific content. ReClip does not verify ownership of externally linked content.
  • You may revoke ReClip's access to any connected account at any time from that platform's own security or connected-apps settings.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ReClip is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service — including loss of content, loss of revenue, or enforcement actions by third-party platforms.

Our total liability for any claim arising from these terms or your use of the service shall not exceed the amount you paid to ReClip in the 12 months preceding the claim, or £50, whichever is greater.

9. Termination

You may close your account at any time. On closure, your content will be deleted within 30 days in line with our Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms, if required by law, or if the service is discontinued. Where reasonably possible we will give advance notice.

10. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

US residents: Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under applicable US federal or state consumer protection laws. California residents may have additional rights under the CCPA as described in our Privacy Policy. To the extent permitted by law, any dispute arising under these terms shall be resolved by binding arbitration on an individual basis, and you waive the right to participate in a class action.

Canadian residents: Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under applicable Canadian federal or provincial consumer protection laws, including PIPEDA. Quebec residents retain rights under the Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector.

11. Limitation of liability — US and Canada

The liability cap in section 8 applies to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law. Some US states and Canadian provinces do not allow exclusion of certain implied warranties or limitation of incidental damages — in those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

12. Copyright and repeat infringers

You confirm that you own or hold the necessary rights to any content you upload to ReClip. You must not upload content that infringes the copyright or other intellectual property rights of any third party.

ReClip operates a repeat infringer policy. Accounts that are the subject of multiple valid copyright complaints, or that repeatedly submit content without holding the necessary rights, will be suspended or terminated. For information on how to submit or respond to a copyright notice, see our DMCA & Copyright page.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service evolves. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
